Congratulations on your new blog!

I've written a post with some tips for launching a blog, 25 Steps to Launching Your Blog and Making $100+ A Month in 30 Days. You might find something useful there.

As far as Google Analytics, adding your script is easy. You want to paste your code in your header, where it will be counted every time a new page is viewed. If your WordPress theme has a header.php file, you want to paste it there, somewhere before the closing tag. If your theme doesn't have a header, look for the header in the index.php file (in your theme, not your main WordPress directory). If you have a home.php file with a header, you'll need to add it there. Also, if your archive, category, and search pages don't call a header.php file, you'll need to add your code there.

Hope that helps! If you have other questions, please add comments to my post on launching your blog.

Good luck!
